20 Questions

Today I present you favourite game of most of my students ~~ 20 Questions!

It is a simple game that requires little to none preparation and can be played literally anywhere - in the classroom or during online classes. With this game, you can revise any vocabulary category you want as well as give students an opportunity to practice asking questions :) The rules of the game: One person chooses a category - it can be anything you want to revise (animals, furniture, jobs, etc.) or you can make it more fun and go for such categories as celebrities, movies, bands. Basically, anything you can think of :D When the category is chosen, it is time to decide on one thing (or person) that belongs to it. The other person has only 20 questions to guess what it is. To make the game harder you can play a version that requires only Yes/No questions.

For example:

Let's say that the category is animals. Some of the questions may be: - Can you keep it at home?

- Does it have four legs?

- Can it swim? When playing with a number of students, it can be a good idea to make a small competition out of this game. Whoever guessed having asked the least questions wins! Let me know what you think about this game in the comment section or on my FB page :)
