Imagine a big, tasty-looking slice of pizza on a plate in front of you. You're just about to eat it when... Your friend grabs it, takes a huge bite and puts it back on your plate. What is your reaction? If you don't mind sharing, you probably wouldn't make a big deal of it, but.....if you're like Joey Tribbiani, the situation would unfold much differently 😅 Today I am sharing with you an activity for a food-themed lesson.
Using videos during your lessons can be very entertaining as well as engaging, therefore, I highly recommend it.
Make sure to warm-up your students before watching the video by asking them some questions concerning the topic of food, for example:
Do you like to cook?
What is your favourite meal?
What is the weirdest food you've ever tried?
Do you mind sharing your food?
The worksheet is composed of gap-filling exercises where students have to write down the words they hear, as well as of open questions that check if they were watching attentively. The scene can be found in the episode 9 of the 10th season of Friends or on YouTube by clicking here.
Let me know if you like it and whether you would like me to post more of such ready-to-use activities!
