Let's get lost!

Have you ever wondered how would it be to get lost in a foreign city? Or maybe you are one of those people (like me) who like to get lost intentionally ;) Today's worksheet is a music video gap-filling based on the song "Lost in Japan" by Shawn Mendes. You can use it as a fun break during the class, or you can build a whole lesson plan around it about directions for example. Some tips from me:

  • use it with the game "Survival mode", you can find something more about it here. You can give such a scenario as getting lost in a big city 😉

  • turn the class into "get to know more about other cultures" - in this case - Japan

  • make room for a discussion. Here are some questions you can ask:

*Would you like to live in Japan? *What is the difference between Japan and your country? *What do you think the song is about? (here you can ask your students to explain some parts of the song, how they understand them - you can find a bit of help here) You can download the worksheet by clicking the box below or going to this page.

Let me know if you have any other ideas about how to implement this song into a lesson! Enjoy!
