Put the... in the right place

What hides behind these three dots is… anything you want actually!

Are you revising vocabulary? That’s great! This task is just for you!

Fruits? Vegetables? Clothes? Or maybe make it more fun and use celebrities, tv series, movies?

This game is a simple way of practicing your students’ listening skills.

Let’s get to it then!

You need to prepare beforehand… different sets of charts with pictures (of whatever category you choose) and blank charts.

Get students into pairs sitting back to back. One student has a chart filled with pictures, the other one has a blank one. Student A (with complete chart) has to explain student B where each of the vocabulary items, names, etc. are placed.

No peeking or cheating!!!

With this activity you can not only practice listening but also spelling as students with blank charts can write the names of the given objects/people.

Also, don’t worry if your students don’t know the name for the object. Simply tell them to describe what it looks like.

Here you can find an example of such chart. If you want more of these (or other worksheets) head to my isl page click.
