This activity is a great energizer for your bored/ tired students. Not only does it encourage friendly competition, but also puts your students’ reaction time to the test.
Put students into pairs sitting opposite each other. On the table between them lay pre-prepared words. Give your students some time to familiarize with them and make sure they understand all of them.
Now, you play the chosen recording. It can be a dialogue, short film, song, etc.
Student’s task is to slap word card as soon as they hear the word mentioned in the recording. The one with the fastest and accurate slaps wins!
