Playing songs during your classes can be a fun way to engage students in the lesson. Especially if you play the songs they currently listen to :)
This activity is simple. Choose a song, prepare lyrics with gaps and voilà !
Hand out the lyrics to students and have them fill in the gaps with the words they hear in the song.
To make it even more interesting you can ask your students to give you some song recommendations and use them if they suit the level or vocabulary/grammar content you want to cover.
There are many different tasks you can use with songs. Choosing the correct spelling, filling the gaps with provided words, putting lyrics in correct order, filling the missing letters, and any more you can think of!
