Today we're going to get crafty!
Prepare your supply of clay as your students will need a bunch of it for this activity :)
What do you need: - clay, clay and even more clay!
- slips of paper with some dishes written on them
Now, the activity is super easy and you can effortlessly adapt it to your students' level. It works as an additional activity to the lessons about food.
Before the class, prepare some names of the dishes your students are acquainted with (for younger learners it can be just a food item). Put the pieces of paper in a cup and ask your students to draw. If you are short of time - ask them to draw only one piece of paper. If you want to make this activity a longer one - you can ask them to draw more.
For older students, I have discovered that the activity became more interesting when they had to create three meals and then guess what their friends have made.
It is a perfect activity to revise vocabulary, but also get crafty with your students! :)
Some ideas for the dishes: - spaghetti
- hamburger
- fish and chips
- eggs on toast
- sushi
- pizza
Let me know if your students enjoyed this activity! :)
