Food-talk is real.

Who doesn't like food anyway?

This activity will enable you to incorporate movement into vocabulary teaching. How? Let me tell you.

First of all, you are going to need two things:

1. Presentation with different kinds of food (depending on the target vocabulary - vegetables, fruits, meals, fast-foods, etc.). You can create your own presentation, but if you are short of time you can always check out my presentations here.

2. A printout with rating, that students will use to show whether they like the food you are presenting or not. You can find one here.

If you have those two things, then you are ready to get your class moving!

Put the printout rating on the floor and have your students stand in a line. Tell your students that you will show them different kinds of food and their task is to jump to the sides in order to vote. The scale (from the worst) is: disgusting, awful, OK, tasty, delicious. After you show them each food item give them some time to decide on their vote and later ask questions concerning their choice.

Your students will not only have fun jumping around but also practice speaking and supporting arguments.
